UI/UX coursework case study

DESERV

Because accessibility is a right. An app that lets people with mobility disabilities in India find and filter places by real accessibility features.

DESERV accessibility app case study cover.

What it was

Research, personas, information architecture, wireframes, and hi-fi mockups.

Context

People with mobility disabilities in India lack a reliable way to know whether a place actually has ramps, automated doors, accessible restrooms, or reserved parking; official “accessible” labels are inconsistent and rarely updated.

What I did

Ran the full UX process: secondary research (the RPWD Act and competitor analysis of Google Maps, AccessNow, Access Earth), a 51-person survey, four user personas, empathy and affinity maps, card sorting, information architecture, paper wireframes, A/B testing, and low- to high-fidelity mockups.

Why it matters

An app concept built around filters, reviews, photos, accessibility scores, and community contributions for the Indian context.
